Georgian Steel – former Rustavi Metallurgical Plant is a producer of seamless pipes for the oil and gas industry and long products for construction and light manufacturing industries.
Georgian Steel was formed in 2005 when Rustavi Metallurgical Plant was privatised and acquired by a UK investor.
The integrated plant was established in 1948 at Rustavi - city in the southeast of Georgia, situated 16 miles (25 km) southeast of the capital Tbilisi and is the unique manufacturer of seamless pipes in Western and Central Asia covering the range between 60 and 426 mm.
Georgian Steel produces high quality steel products in accordance with international standards and its vision is to become the brand of choice for the regional and international markets.
Georgian Steel is an important contributor to the revival of the national economy and with the support of all stake holders including the Georgian government and employees the Company has a strong foundation upon which to develop a sustainable business.
